Day one of Lock Down in South Africa…

We’ve had to postpone both our Education Drive and Steri Drive 9 which was set to be late April, we’re heartbroken, frustrated and worried for both the four legs and two legs of De Doorns!

But something you learn in rescue:

A) always look for the silver lining and

B) a positive attitude can achieve anything!

Silver lining: Sidewalk Specials will be running a series of happy rescue updates throughout lock down! Below is Mollys’. We were told “they’ve tried to kill her three times, they really don’t want her”, well look at her now living her best life! 

Positive attitude: now more than ever South Africans have to stand together for the safety and future of our country! We have to stay home, we have to keep our distance, we have to flatten the curve!

BequestS - Remember us in Your Will

One of the most effective ways in which you can ensure that Sidewalk Specials NPC’s work continues is by way of a bequest in your will.

 

What Can You Bequeath?

You can leave any realisable assets to Sidewalk Specials NPC, including:

  • Property and land
  • Money or stocks and shares
  • Personal possessions
 
Adding a Bequest to Your Will
 
If you wish to donate to Sidewalk Specials NPC by way of a bequest, please make specific mention of us in your will.

For example:

“I bequeath to Sidewalk Specials NPC (2017/316326/08) the sum of [insert amount or percentage of overall estate value]. “ 

If you have already drawn up your will, a bequest to Sidewalk Specials NPC can be contained in an addition to your will, known as a Codicil, which can be added at any time.

A codicil must be signed and witnessed in the same way as the will itself (although the witnesses do not need to be the same). It must be kept with the will, but not affixed to it.

For example:

“I, the undersigned, declare the following to be a codicil to my will. I bequeath to Sidewalk Specials NPC (2017/316326/08) the sum of [insert amount or percentage of overall estate value] “
