Lock Down Foster Diaries!

Hi guys, I’m Kit!  I was removed from a man trying to sell me for R10…I’d kinda hoped I was worth more than that! But this nice lady took me away, Vetpoint did give me some medicine and now I’m on foster at Camps Bay Retreat with Pet Places! It’s lock down so I can’t go nowhere but foster mom did take these photos for folks to see what kind of forever doggo I’d be…a good one, if you was wondering, the best forever doggo! 

Pet Places donate 10% of their bookings to Sidewalk Specials, with lock down crippling the tourism industry many Pet Places apartments have had to be converted into long term rentals 

Adapt or die, as they say…

We received a phone call last week, naturally anticipating that these properties would no longer be able to donate…

How wrong we were, 10% of all long term rentals will STILL be donated to Sidewalk Specials! Not all heroes wear capes!

I was kinda nervous when I first arrived…so I just hid!
But they did bring me a ball…so I did think they were ok…
But it was a trick, a ruse…they called it bath. I called it mean.
Suppose it was kinda nice to smell good…but there will be no forgiveness…
…foster mom huggled me…all is forgiven!
Turns out when you smell good you gets more kisses too!
Camps Bay Retreat looked like an alright kinda spot for a pupster! Turns out it’s super pet friendly and 10% of all Pet Places bookings get donated to Sidewalk Specials!
Puppy adventure time!
There’s a proper little forest for us doggo’s to explore! The hooman said four acres worth!!
So many sniffs.
I even got to help at the nursery, the nursery is where they train hoomans to help the forest! 🌳 They all about the indigenous stuff here, they said I looked like an indigenous wild dog mixed with a Dachshund…I fink it was a compliment…
They said they grow food here too…but I couldn’t see any chickens?!
I oversaw the hooman training, it’s important your hooman is well trained see! 
Encourage your hooman when they get it right!
Then it was baking time, this is what I’m talkin’ bout! 🙌🏻🥣 Bangers, she’s a Sidewalk Specials rescue that lives here all the time, was on hand to help!
She showed me just how it’s done!!

Exercise is super important for hoomans in lock down or they get wider and sadder!
If you involve your doggos we can all be happy together!!
Watching sunsets…I never did see one before…
Tucked in whilst foster mommy reads…
This is what a forever home must feel like…
Big days for little puppies! 
Today is nature pool day, I sensed more trickery…it looked like a big bath to me! 
Fortunately the hooman had prepared a small ship to protect us! 
Then suddenly…
…a polar bear was in the bath with us… the hooman said it was Bailey, who also lives at the Camps Bay Retreat!
Bailey and Bonzo taught me to swim… The rules is: flap legs hard, keep heads up, always follow doggo with stick, do not try take stick if doggo is bigger than you!
Post adventure your hooman will need to relax…this involves more baths.
But it also involves good smells & huggles, so indulge your hooman!
The human has placed food on her face…I wonder if she knows it’s there…
…I’ll just…
Sorted!
Bet she didn’t even notice!!
Sometimes, when hooman lights the fire, I try channel my inner wild dog…even though my legs still say Dachshund.

BequestS - Remember us in Your Will

One of the most effective ways in which you can ensure that Sidewalk Specials NPC’s work continues is by way of a bequest in your will.

 

What Can You Bequeath?

You can leave any realisable assets to Sidewalk Specials NPC, including:

  • Property and land
  • Money or stocks and shares
  • Personal possessions
 
Adding a Bequest to Your Will
 
If you wish to donate to Sidewalk Specials NPC by way of a bequest, please make specific mention of us in your will.

For example:

“I bequeath to Sidewalk Specials NPC (2017/316326/08) the sum of [insert amount or percentage of overall estate value]. “ 

If you have already drawn up your will, a bequest to Sidewalk Specials NPC can be contained in an addition to your will, known as a Codicil, which can be added at any time.

A codicil must be signed and witnessed in the same way as the will itself (although the witnesses do not need to be the same). It must be kept with the will, but not affixed to it.

For example:

“I, the undersigned, declare the following to be a codicil to my will. I bequeath to Sidewalk Specials NPC (2017/316326/08) the sum of [insert amount or percentage of overall estate value] “
