Lock Down has severely impacted the De Doorns township, we have been running weekly outreaches to alleviate the starvation and suffering of the thousands of animals that reside there!
Over the last two months unchecked breeding has spiked, causing an influx of puppies and kittens feeding on starving mommies, puppies and kittens with no hope of a healthy future unless we provide the basic vet care they need!
The sheer numbers of litters we’re seeing has made Steri Drive 9 a necessity rather than a choice. Cape Town shelters are already full to overflowing, there simply aren’t the homes available for the amount of animals being born! Sterilisation is the only kind solution!
Steri Drive 9 will run over four days, over a period of two months, to allow us to enforce social distancing and safety protocols for both our team and the De Doorns township!
This Mandela Day sponsoring a township animal’s Care Pack for only R450/€24/£20//$27 will allow us to blood smear, inoculate, deworm, give tick and flea treatment, inject against mange, provide an antibiotic course, sterilise and send them home with a bag of nutritious food and a warm kennel!
Please use the donation options below and ref: Steri Drive 9
