De Doorns Dog Hit By Truck- SOS!

Over the years we’ve worked on building good relationships in the informal settlement of De Doorns- never have we been more grateful for them then now! 

Late afternoon and our inbox goes ping, a local resident reaching out for help, she’s found Squash frozen in fear on the side of the N1, unable to move with two broken back legs! 

Thanks to her kind heart, the fact she had a rescue to reach out to, Halfway Haven for being our right hand and Boland Dierekliniek for providing emergency vet services- Squash was spared a terrifying, cold, painful night next to the N1! 

With Steri Drive 9 demanding all our finances and more, we are appealing for help to cover the two leg operations Squash needs to walk again! 

The operations along with his vet care and sterilisation will cost approx R17k/ £768/ $1010/ €856!

BequestS - Remember us in Your Will

One of the most effective ways in which you can ensure that Sidewalk Specials NPC’s work continues is by way of a bequest in your will.

 

What Can You Bequeath?

You can leave any realisable assets to Sidewalk Specials NPC, including:

  • Property and land
  • Money or stocks and shares
  • Personal possessions
 
Adding a Bequest to Your Will
 
If you wish to donate to Sidewalk Specials NPC by way of a bequest, please make specific mention of us in your will.

For example:

“I bequeath to Sidewalk Specials NPC (2017/316326/08) the sum of [insert amount or percentage of overall estate value]. “ 

If you have already drawn up your will, a bequest to Sidewalk Specials NPC can be contained in an addition to your will, known as a Codicil, which can be added at any time.

A codicil must be signed and witnessed in the same way as the will itself (although the witnesses do not need to be the same). It must be kept with the will, but not affixed to it.

For example:

“I, the undersigned, declare the following to be a codicil to my will. I bequeath to Sidewalk Specials NPC (2017/316326/08) the sum of [insert amount or percentage of overall estate value] “
