Skylar’s mom reached out for help, Skylar had stopped eating days earlier. Her mom couldn’t access veterinary care and her own efforts were proving in vain…she was watching her much loved dog die before her eyes…
She had heard of the “honde mense” (dog people) that worked in De Doorns, volunteers who help her township community care for and sterilise their animals

Skylar’s mom had a message sent to us that she needed help… Sidewalk Specials Outreach found Skylar days from death, presenting as a Parvo case…
Parvovirus is a disease with a 90% fatality rate if left untreated – but a 80% survival rate if veterinary care is provided! 
It will take diagnostics, supportive treatment and possibly weeks of hospitalisation but Skylar has a real chance of survival. She will also be vaccinated and sterilised before her return home, as is the agreement with all dogs we provide vet care to
