We all know the world can be a pretty cruel place, for animal and human alike. Nowhere is this more true than in the poverty stricken township of De Doorns, South Africa ????????

But when the kindness of strangers creates little miracles – miracles like Skylar being able to go home, happy and healthy. Even though her township owner couldn’t have hoped to afford the private vet care Skyler needed to recover. ????

Well, never underestimate the impact it has on the family and community as a whole! It’s a light in the darkness, a signal that they aren’t invisible to the outside world, proof that someone does care and an inspiration to do better by their animals! ✨

If any armchair warrior wants to complain that it’s the dog receiving help, not the human…????

Have you ever had a sick pet you couldn’t afford to treat? Do you know the horror of watching your beloved dog die and not being able to help them? ????

BequestS - Remember us in Your Will

One of the most effective ways in which you can ensure that Sidewalk Specials NPC’s work continues is by way of a bequest in your will.

 

What Can You Bequeath?

You can leave any realisable assets to Sidewalk Specials NPC, including:

  • Property and land
  • Money or stocks and shares
  • Personal possessions
 
Adding a Bequest to Your Will
 
If you wish to donate to Sidewalk Specials NPC by way of a bequest, please make specific mention of us in your will.

For example:

“I bequeath to Sidewalk Specials NPC (2017/316326/08) the sum of [insert amount or percentage of overall estate value]. “ 

If you have already drawn up your will, a bequest to Sidewalk Specials NPC can be contained in an addition to your will, known as a Codicil, which can be added at any time.

A codicil must be signed and witnessed in the same way as the will itself (although the witnesses do not need to be the same). It must be kept with the will, but not affixed to it.

For example:

“I, the undersigned, declare the following to be a codicil to my will. I bequeath to Sidewalk Specials NPC (2017/316326/08) the sum of [insert amount or percentage of overall estate value] “

  2. I/We acknowledge that application of any of the protocols involves certain risks and hazards, including but not limited to the risk of personal injury and property damage. I/We agree to assume full responsibility for any such risks and hazards, and to release and waive any claims against Sidewalk Specials NPC/CIC and any of its directors, employees, volunteers, and veterinary experts/medical personnel under direct instruction arising out of or in connection with application of the protocols or while at the premises of Sidewalk Specials NPC/CIC, or at any location in application of the same animal protocols.

  3. I/We acknowledge that this indemnity is intended to be interpreted as broadly as allowed by law, and that it shall survive the termination or expiration of Sidewalk Specials NPC/CIC, and that the indemnity referred to herein shall inure to the successors and assigns of Sidewalk Specials NPC/CIC, and its directors, employees, volunteers, and veterinary experts/medical personnel under direct instruction.
