Last week, with De Doorns still reeling from the recent storms devastation, we drove past to check for any injured dogs…
We’ve named her Penny, her owner’s been taken away to jail, local kids said she recently gave birth but all her puppies died from the cold, she has mange, a broken hip from being hit by a garbage truck and she currently has absolutely nowhere to go 💔
Penny needs a femur head and neck resection if we’re to save her leg, antibiotics for her tick bite fever and ongoing medicated dips for her skin. Her hip operation alone will cost R8,500 ($462/€427/£359/AU$701) 😓
