Hoarding Is Not Rescue – Homes Urgently Needed!

Sidewalk Specials were asked to help clear an overcrowded shelter, a situation where good intentions had led to over 300 animals living together in filthy conditions, with limited resources, no access to veterinary care and limited human interaction 😔

Sterilisation and education is the future of rescue. South Africa’s severely under resourced and completely overwhelmed welfare system, combined with current soaring inflation, is making the sustainability of physical shelters unrealistic for smaller organisations.

Taking all that into account, and taking the blame game out of it, our focus now is finding safe forever homes for our new intakes. So we can get back to the business of mass sterilisation – the kindest solution to pet overpopulation ❤️

BequestS - Remember us in Your Will

One of the most effective ways in which you can ensure that Sidewalk Specials NPC’s work continues is by way of a bequest in your will.

 

What Can You Bequeath?

You can leave any realisable assets to Sidewalk Specials NPC, including:

  • Property and land
  • Money or stocks and shares
  • Personal possessions
 
Adding a Bequest to Your Will
 
If you wish to donate to Sidewalk Specials NPC by way of a bequest, please make specific mention of us in your will.

For example:

“I bequeath to Sidewalk Specials NPC (2017/316326/08) the sum of [insert amount or percentage of overall estate value]. “ 

If you have already drawn up your will, a bequest to Sidewalk Specials NPC can be contained in an addition to your will, known as a Codicil, which can be added at any time.

A codicil must be signed and witnessed in the same way as the will itself (although the witnesses do not need to be the same). It must be kept with the will, but not affixed to it.

For example:

“I, the undersigned, declare the following to be a codicil to my will. I bequeath to Sidewalk Specials NPC (2017/316326/08) the sum of [insert amount or percentage of overall estate value] “
