Hi guys, my name’s Duckie 🦆

Sidewalk met me in De Doorns, they said they spotted my ribs sticking out from a mile away and decided to follow me home 😳

Only my ‘home’ said I didn’t live there… I’m not sure why they said that, I’d been living there over seven years…😧

Sidewalk said I could come with them. They said they’ll always help township owners keep their dogs if they’re loved, but if I wasn’t wanted anymore then it was safer for me to leave ❤️

At the ‘Sidewalk Steri Clinic’ they checked my blood, turns out I have diabetes, my eyes have developed cataracts because of it but otherwise I’m healthy – I just have to have a insulin shot twice a day after meals 💉

The vet said my ongoing treatment’s cheap and easy to administer but Sidewalk looked pretty worried…apparently little brown dogs struggle to find homes as is, even without diabetes…🥺

Sidewalk reckon I’m just over seven years old, I’m small breed, super gentle with other dogs, cats and humans. I just need a safe home to rest and recover in 💖

BequestS - Remember us in Your Will

One of the most effective ways in which you can ensure that Sidewalk Specials NPC’s work continues is by way of a bequest in your will.

 

What Can You Bequeath?

You can leave any realisable assets to Sidewalk Specials NPC, including:

  • Property and land
  • Money or stocks and shares
  • Personal possessions
 
Adding a Bequest to Your Will
 
If you wish to donate to Sidewalk Specials NPC by way of a bequest, please make specific mention of us in your will.

For example:

“I bequeath to Sidewalk Specials NPC (2017/316326/08) the sum of [insert amount or percentage of overall estate value]. “ 

If you have already drawn up your will, a bequest to Sidewalk Specials NPC can be contained in an addition to your will, known as a Codicil, which can be added at any time.

A codicil must be signed and witnessed in the same way as the will itself (although the witnesses do not need to be the same). It must be kept with the will, but not affixed to it.

For example:

“I, the undersigned, declare the following to be a codicil to my will. I bequeath to Sidewalk Specials NPC (2017/316326/08) the sum of [insert amount or percentage of overall estate value] “
