Steri Drives don’t only stop thousands of unwanted dogs and cats being born into abuse and neglect, they’re also a safe space for the community to surrender unwanted animals!
We work in areas of extreme poverty where most owners can’t afford or access vet care. In fact, most don’t know that there are organisations who’ll take in sick animals.
You’ll have noticed we’re running raffles, selling calendars, increasing our Adoption Days, hosting events- we’re hustling hard to raise the funds needed for our next mass sterilisation!
Everyone present at Steri Drive donates their time for free, vets their skills and equipment, drug companies often donate meds, Hill’s Pet Nutrition donate the pet food and we’ll even try to have the human food/drinks sponsored. But even with all that, the bill for sterilising, inoculating, deworming, giving tick and flea and mange medication, blood smears and antibiotics for 350+ dogs and cats, will easily sit around the 200K mark!!
