Porkie The Abused Old Dog- Update!

Porkie was found at the start of lockdown in De Doorns…sitting shaking, doing her very best to be invisible…

99.9% of the time we’re blown away with the tenacity and ingenuity De Doorns residents show in caring for their pets, however, in Porkie’s case removal was the only option (yes the puppies were removed also).

She came to us with a serious eye injury, tick bite fever, raw nerves exposed in her teeth from eating rocks, she was also newly pregnant- had she not been rescued neither she nor her puppies would have survived as she had advanced pyometra (latin for pus-uterus, we’ll let your imagination do the rest).

You guys donated and shared her story and here she is now, saying a HUGE THANK YOU and living her best life!

BequestS - Remember us in Your Will

One of the most effective ways in which you can ensure that Sidewalk Specials NPC’s work continues is by way of a bequest in your will.

 

What Can You Bequeath?

You can leave any realisable assets to Sidewalk Specials NPC, including:

  • Property and land
  • Money or stocks and shares
  • Personal possessions
 
Adding a Bequest to Your Will
 
If you wish to donate to Sidewalk Specials NPC by way of a bequest, please make specific mention of us in your will.

For example:

“I bequeath to Sidewalk Specials NPC (2017/316326/08) the sum of [insert amount or percentage of overall estate value]. “ 

If you have already drawn up your will, a bequest to Sidewalk Specials NPC can be contained in an addition to your will, known as a Codicil, which can be added at any time.

A codicil must be signed and witnessed in the same way as the will itself (although the witnesses do not need to be the same). It must be kept with the will, but not affixed to it.

For example:

“I, the undersigned, declare the following to be a codicil to my will. I bequeath to Sidewalk Specials NPC (2017/316326/08) the sum of [insert amount or percentage of overall estate value] “
