Abandoned, Attacked Pit Bull Gets His Second Chance!

We were alerted to a pit bull abandoned in a chicken coop, his owner having left the month before to find work. Apparently measures were put in place for family members to feed Cooper, however, these never transpired…

In the time between Sidewalk Specials being alerted to his abandonment and Cooper being rescued, Cooper was sadly attacked under the cover of night by Tik (meth) users, with golf clubs, whilst trapped in his enclosure… words fail us…💔

Cooper was rushed to the emergency vet, weak with anemia and tick bite fever and suffering from severe malnutrition and multiple blunt force traumas. 😣

We asked you guys to help with his vet bills and to share him for a forever home. You covered his vetting and, whilst his rehoming didn’t go exactly as expected, it’s beyond heartwarming when the De Doorns community reach out to help one of their own – an old boy at that! 💖

BequestS - Remember us in Your Will

One of the most effective ways in which you can ensure that Sidewalk Specials NPC’s work continues is by way of a bequest in your will.

 

What Can You Bequeath?

You can leave any realisable assets to Sidewalk Specials NPC, including:

  • Property and land
  • Money or stocks and shares
  • Personal possessions
 
Adding a Bequest to Your Will
 
If you wish to donate to Sidewalk Specials NPC by way of a bequest, please make specific mention of us in your will.

For example:

“I bequeath to Sidewalk Specials NPC (2017/316326/08) the sum of [insert amount or percentage of overall estate value]. “ 

If you have already drawn up your will, a bequest to Sidewalk Specials NPC can be contained in an addition to your will, known as a Codicil, which can be added at any time.

A codicil must be signed and witnessed in the same way as the will itself (although the witnesses do not need to be the same). It must be kept with the will, but not affixed to it.

For example:

“I, the undersigned, declare the following to be a codicil to my will. I bequeath to Sidewalk Specials NPC (2017/316326/08) the sum of [insert amount or percentage of overall estate value] “
